About the Role
We are currently offering a permanent, part-time position at 0.8 FTE (32 hours per week). In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality specialist nursing care to patients with ostomies in both community and outpatient settings. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing advanced clinical assessments and complex care planning
- Educating patients and their whanau about their care
- Acting as a resource and clinical leader for other health professionals
- Contributing to service development and quality improvement initiatives

About You
We are looking for a Registered Nurse who meets the following criteria:
- Holds a current Annual Practicing Certificate (APC) and a full, clean New Zealand driver’s license
- Has a postgraduate qualification in ostomy care or a related field (or is in the process of obtaining one)
- Possesses at least five years of post-registration experience, including senior nursing practice
- Demonstrates advanced assessment skills, strong clinical reasoning, and the ability to work confidently in an autonomous setting
- Is committed to equity, the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and improving health outcomes for Māori
Additionally, this role requires a valid Vulnerable Children’s Act (VCA) clearance.
