About the Role
We are currently seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join our Primary Liaison Team, which operates across the Auckland City region. This is a permanent full-time position based in Panmure, Auckland. The role is Monday to Friday, and we offer ongoing staff education and support.
We invite applications from New Zealand Z Registered Mental Health Nurses who hold a Post Graduate Nurse Practitioner certification, a current Annual Practicing Certificate, and Level 4 PDRP. We also welcome applications from NZ Registered Mental Health Nurses who are eligible to undertake the Nurse Practitioner Training Programme.
About the Team/Service/Location
The Primary Care Liaison team comprises mental health specialists who provide care at the intersection of primary and secondary services for the Auckland City population. As a Nurse Practitioner, you will act as an expert clinician in Mental Health Nursing. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting assessments and brief clinical interventions, as well as providing clinical and professional leadership.
We are looking for a dynamic clinician with experience in adult community work, who can perform comprehensive mental health assessments, implement effective evidence-based treatment strategies, and collaborate effectively with team members, primary care providers, and other services.
About You
We seek candidates who are committed to the philosophy and concepts of Mental Health Nursing care. The essential requirements for this role include:
- A minimum of five years' experience in Mental Health Nursing
- Endorsement by the Nursing Council of New Zealand to practice as a Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
- Alignment with the values of Health New Zealand
- Either currently completing the Mental Health Nurse Practitioner training or already qualified
