About the Role We are currently seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters to join our team. This role offers a variety of tasks, all centered around ensuring the efficient assembly and maintenance of machinery. You will be working with a range of mechanical tools and systems, contributing to projects that make a significant impact in our industry. Requirements The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience: - A minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical fitting - Trade qualifications are preferred - Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems is an advantage - Proficiency in assembly and fault finding on complex, PLC-controlled systems - A solid understanding of mechanical systems, technical drawings, and assembly procedures - Confidence in using a variety of mechanical tools In addition to technical skills, we are looking for someone who: - Has good computer literacy and attention to detail - Can work effectively in a team-based environment - Maintains an excellent health and safety mindset - Is physically fit and capable of meeting the demands of the role - Has recent work references - Resides in New Zealand and is eligible for permanent work (please note that these roles are not sponsored) Candidates may be required to undergo drug and alcohol screening and other pre-employment checks. Benefits We offer a competitive hourly rate ranging from $37 to $41, depending on your experience and qualifications. You will enjoy regular ongoing full-time hours with opportunities for overtime.
