About the Role
We have several exciting opportunities for Industrial Electricians across multiple locations in Canterbury, including Christchurch, Ashburton, and Rolleston. The role involves working on rotating shifts of 4 on and 4 off, allowing you to maximize your time away from work.
As an Industrial Electrician, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the efficient and uninterrupted operation of production machinery. You will collaborate closely with the production team to achieve production targets while promptly addressing any electrical engineering issues that may arise, ensuring that all work is completed to a high standard of quality and safety.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following criteria:
- A full NZ practicing electrical license (EWRB)
- Proficiency in NZ electrical standards and regulations for industrial environments
- A minimum of 3 years of industrial electrical experience
- Familiarity with rotational shift patterns
- Competence in computer usage
Additionally, ideal candidates will possess knowledge and experience in:
- Breakdown diagnostics in time-sensitive scenarios
- Maintenance planning in fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) manufacturing
- Specifying and working with electrical systems in hazardous areas
- Motor start and control equipment, including direct drive, soft start, and variable speed drives (VSDs)
- PLCs, associated sensing and control equipment, and SCADA systems
- Hydraulics and pneumatics
Candidates must hold a valid NZ work visa, residency, or citizenship.
Benefits
We offer competitive rates ranging from $40 to $48 per hour or a salary of $105,000 and above, depending on your experience and qualifications.
