About the Role
We are seeking a registered Dental Therapist/Oral Health Therapist to join our Eastern oral health team. This is a permanent full-time position, requiring a commitment of 40 hours per week. In this role, you will work on a mobile dental unit, participating in the national transformation in health. You will manage comprehensive oral health services and play a significant role in improving health outcomes in our community.
Key Responsibilities
In this position, your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting oral health assessments and developing individualized care plans.
- Providing preventive and therapeutic dental treatments.
- Educating patients on oral hygiene practices and disease prevention.
- Collaborating with the wider healthcare team to promote holistic patient care.
- Maintaining accurate patient records and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
About You
To be considered for this role, you will need the following skills and experience:
- Up-to-date clinical skills.
- Knowledge and understanding of the Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
- Flexibility, organization, and self-motivation, along with the ability to work effectively with whanau to improve oral health.
- A team-oriented mindset that values the importance of partnering with dental assistants, fostering support, friendship, and professional development.
