About the Role
We are currently looking for an experienced Public Toilet Amenities and Cleaning Team Leader to join our team in Tauranga. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that our parks and facilities are clean, safe, and enjoyable for everyone. This is a hands-on position that involves not only cleaning responsibilities but also overseeing and supporting your team in delivering high-quality amenities services on Downer contracted sites.
Your primary responsibilities will include conducting regular cleaning and maintenance of park facilities, performing litter collection, and leading your team in various amenities activities. You will be tasked with organizing and monitoring operations, producing work plans, and adjusting strategies based on seasonal influences to ensure efficient deployment of work crews. Adhering to Safety, Quality, and Environmental (SQE) standards is crucial, and you will be expected to identify hazards and ensure public safety in work areas. Additionally, liaising with clients and the public to address any concerns will be an important aspect of your role.
Requirements
We are looking for candidates who possess a positive attitude and a strong willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks. The ideal candidate will have:
- Significant industry experience in amenities management (5+ years preferred)
- A Full Class 1 Driver's License (Class 2 preferred)
- Proven experience in leading and managing teams
- Strong planning, client liaison, and communication skills
- An energetic, self-motivated, and results-oriented approach
