We pride ourselves on maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene, and we are currently seeking a Cleaning Supervisor to join our team. About the Role As a Cleaning Supervisor, you will play a key role in supervising and coordinating the activities of our cleaning staff across multiple locations. Your responsibilities will include allocating duties, scheduling shifts, and ensuring that all cleaning operations meet our company standards and client expectations. You will also be involved in training new staff, monitoring inventory, and addressing any concerns from staff or clients. This position guarantees 30 hours of work per week, with the potential to increase to 60 hours during peak periods. Responsibilities - Supervise and coordinate the activities of cleaning staff at various sites. - Allocate duties and schedule shifts to ensure optimal coverage and efficiency. - Inspect sites and completed work to ensure compliance with company standards and client expectations. - Train new staff in cleaning procedures, health and safety protocols, and equipment usage. - Monitor the inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as needed. - Address staff and client concerns promptly and professionally. - Prepare and submit reports on cleaning operations, staff performance, and incidents. - Ensure adherence to health, safety, and hygiene regulations. - Perform cleaning duties as necessary to support the team or cover absences. - Liaise with clients to understand their needs, resolve complaints, and improve service delivery. Requirements - A minimum of one year of team leadership experience. - A valid full class 1 or equivalent driver’s license. - Ability to drive manual vehicles. - Reliability and physical fitness are essential. - Strong attention to detail. - Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. - Legal entitlement to work in New Zealand. - Previous cleaning experience is preferred but not mandatory. - Willingness to work weekends, evenings, early mornings, and public holidays if required. - A clear criminal record and the ability to pass a drug and alcohol test. Benefits We offer a competitive hourly rate of $28 to $30, depending on experience, along with guaranteed hours and opportunities for additional shifts during peak times.
