    About the Company Royal District Nursing Service New Zealand (RDNS NZ) is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing home and community-based nursing services to a diverse range of clients in the Greater Auckland region and South Island. About the Role We are seeking a Support Worker Coach to enhance the experience of our Support Workers based in Timaru. This role is an autonomous position, where your time will be divided between office work and community engagement. This opportunity may be ideal for an experienced Support Worker looking to progress in their career, an adult educator with experience in the health sector, or a Registered Nurse seeking to apply their skills in a different environment. We are committed to providing an excellent work-life balance, with this role offering 1.0 FTE or 40 hours per week. A Day in the Life In this role, you will have a variety of responsibilities, including: - Spearheading Learning and Development: You will manage, coordinate, and facilitate orientations, provide training to help staff achieve the necessary competencies, and support individuals in attaining formal qualifications through RDNS. - Contributing to Performance Management: You will handle the initial investigation of complaints, conduct annual professional development appraisals, and perform periodic quality checks. - Conducting initial inquiries into accidents and incidents. Key to Your Success To thrive in this position, you should possess the following skills and qualifications: - Proficiency in IT: Familiarity with Microsoft Office is essential, as is the ability to learn our bespoke in-house systems. You will champion our online learning platform and provide support regarding the support work portal and mobile phones. - Prior supervisory or leadership experience. - A NZQA Level 4 certificate in Health and Wellbeing, or a willingness to work towards this qualification. - A full driver's license, as this role includes a company vehicle. You should be capable of managing a high workload while also creating a fun environment. While not essential, a current Assessor qualification (US4098) would be advantageous.
