About the Role
We are currently seeking a Charge Hand to join our operations team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in managing the daily performance of our processing staff within the depot. Your responsibilities will include ensuring that our processes are efficient, allowing for timely and accurate processing of parcels and letters. You will also prioritize health and safety measures and strive to meet our service performance targets.
As Charge Hand, you will be responsible for the daily allocation of tasks to ensure that service level agreements are consistently achieved. This position requires working Monday and Saturday from midnight to 7:30 am, and Tuesday to Friday from 12:30 am to 7:30 am. A valid forklift certificate or license is required for this role.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lifting the daily performance of your team
- Ensuring courier products, parcels, and mail are sorted according to established KPIs and criteria
- Collaborating closely with the processing Team Leader to maintain smooth, efficient, and safe operations during your shift
- Providing clear direction and support to team members
- Performing daily warehouse tasks as needed
