About the Role We are excited to offer a casual position for a Gardener at Bert Sutcliffe Retirement Village in Birkenhead, Auckland. This role requires flexibility and availability, as your working hours will depend on the needs of the village. As a Gardener, you will be part of a team dedicated to maintaining the beauty of our resort-style gardens for the enjoyment of our residents, their families, and our staff. Your responsibilities will include servicing the grounds and gardens to ensure they look their best and maintaining safety across all outdoor areas. You will experience a variety of tasks, including working with a bowling green, water features, and both residential and shared spaces while collaborating closely with your colleagues. About You To succeed in our supportive and caring environment, we are looking for candidates who have: - Previous experience in a Gardener or Landscaper role - Strong problem-solving skills and excellent attention to detail - Outstanding communication skills - A reliable, friendly, and professional demeanor - Horticultural qualifications are preferred Please note that while we welcome applications from overseas candidates, applicants must have New Zealand work rights for this position due to immigration requirements.
