About the Role
We are excited to announce an opportunity for a Trade Sales Assistant to join our Trade Centre in Petone, Wellington. This is a fixed-term position set to last until September 27, 2025. The role is part-time, with working hours on Monday and Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, and Saturday from 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM.
As a Trade Sales Assistant, you will play a crucial role in interacting with customers, understanding their needs, and presenting them with appropriate solutions from our extensive range of products and services. While having knowledge of PPE, hardware, or apparel is advantageous, it is not essential as we provide comprehensive product training.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with customers to identify their needs and present solutions from our wide array of products and services.
- Deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring that customer satisfaction remains our top priority.
- Collaborate with support teams to meet customer requirements accurately and promptly.
- Assist in maintaining store presentation, visual merchandising standards, and product selection.
- Manage stock levels on shelves, ensuring proper stock rotation.
- Handle, pack, and dispatch incoming and outgoing goods.
- Aid in maintaining accurate inventory records within the store.
Our Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone with a strong background in retail or sales. Previous experience with our product categories, such as power tools, hardware, safety footwear, or PPE, is beneficial but not mandatory.
