We encourage applications from women and individuals from underrepresented groups. About the Role We are excited to offer an opportunity for an Electrical Fitter to join our team in Albany. In this role, you will provide a comprehensive electrical trades service for Omexom, covering a full range of electrical and substation services expected of a qualified electrical fitter. Your key responsibilities will include: - Performing high-voltage maintenance and construction work according to client specifications. - Identifying and addressing unscheduled work to ensure all client equipment is adequately maintained. - Responding promptly to emergency fault breakdowns within planned response times. - Installing substation and other high-voltage equipment in compliance with job instructions and current regulations. - Ensuring the optimal reliability and performance of client plants and equipment by completing projects and maintenance tasks on schedule. Requirements To be considered for this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills: - A recognized NZQA or equivalent qualification as an electrician or electrical fitter. - Hands-on experience in substations and high-voltage electrical work that meets industry standards. - A thorough understanding of current regulatory and industry requirements related to prescribed electrical work.
