About the Role We are currently seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Equipment Technician/Diesel Mechanic to join our Christchurch Branch. This is an exciting time for us, as we have recently been appointed as the New Zealand importer and distributor for Tigercat forestry and off-road industrial machinery. In this role, you will utilize your diagnostic and mechanical skills to service, maintain, and repair a diverse range of heavy machinery, primarily within the forestry and construction sectors. We are looking for a mechanical trades professional who is committed to delivering quality, efficient, and accurate service and maintenance outcomes. Your ability to go above and beyond will be essential in this critical support role. Requirements To be successful in this position, you will need to possess the following qualifications and skills: - A strong commitment to health and safety, as it is our number one priority at CablePrice. We prioritize looking after ourselves and each other. - A Heavy Diesel and/or relevant Automotive Qualification. - Prior experience with Tigercat equipment is advantageous. - Mechanical capability and technical skills for diagnosing faults and servicing heavy commercial vehicles. - Excellent diagnostic abilities coupled with analytical thinking for navigating complex issues that arise in day-to-day challenges. - Confidence in computer literacy and a customer-focused mindset. - A proactive ‘can do’ attitude that enables you to persevere when faced with challenges.
