About the Role
We are looking for a skilled Mechanic with expertise in vehicle compliance to join our friendly and dynamic team in New Lynn. In this part-time position, which typically involves 20 to 30 hours per week over three days, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that imported vehicles meet New Zealand's safety and compliance standards.
Your responsibilities will include inspecting, assessing, and certifying vehicles for roadworthiness. You will also have the opportunity to drive the cars you certify, making this role both engaging and rewarding.

What You'll Be Doing
- Conduct mechanical compliance inspections on imported vehicles.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections and certifications.
- Ensure all vehicles comply with New Zealand safety and regulatory standards.
- Identify and address any compliance-related issues.
- Safely drive vehicles for assessment purposes.
- Occasionally load and secure vehicles for transport.
What We're Looking For
- A Class 2 Driver's License is essential.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as a mechanic, with a preference for those with compliance inspection experience.
- Reliability and punctuality are crucial; we depend on you to consistently deliver.
- A team-oriented mindset with positive communication skills.
- Attention to detail, with a strong emphasis on safety and accuracy.
