About the Company
BreastScreen Waitemata Northland (BSWN) is a vital part of Health New Zealand Te Whatu Ora's free national BreastScreen Aotearoa (BSA) Programme. Each year, we screen over 45,000 women, ensuring they receive a positive experience throughout the process. Our passionate multidisciplinary team is dedicated to delivering high-quality services focused on early detection of breast cancer, which is crucial for effective treatment.
About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Nurse to join our Breast Care team on a casual basis. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of our clinical multidisciplinary team, where you will provide essential information, education, and support to women at every stage of the breast screening and assessment process.
About You
To excel in this role, you will need to meet the following requirements:
- Be a registered nurse in New Zealand with a current Annual Practicing Certificate (APC).
- Have a minimum of two years of post-registration nursing experience.
- Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and a willingness to undertake further training to meet BreastScreen Aotearoa requirements.
- Exhibit compassion, self-motivation, and excellent communication skills, thriving in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
- Have flexible availability to pick up casual shifts as needed.
- Experience in breast care or women's health is highly advantageous.
