About the Role We have an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) to join our dynamic Stroke CNS team in a part-time, fixed-term position for 12 months. This role requires a commitment of 0.8 FTE, which equates to 64 hours every fortnight, working Monday to Friday. In this advanced practice role, you will utilize your clinical assessment and diagnostic reasoning skills to support inpatient nursing and medical teams in managing patients who present acutely with stroke. Your expertise will play a vital role in ensuring that our patients receive safe and appropriate care in a timely manner. A significant focus of this position is on clinical education. You will be responsible for developing staff competence across all disciplines involved in stroke management, which will help foster an environment of continuous learning and improvement. Additionally, you will coordinate care across primary, secondary, and tertiary sectors and provide a triage service as needed. Requirements We are looking for a Registered Nurse who possesses a current Annual Practising Certificate and a Postgraduate Diploma in Specialty Practice. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience in acute medicine and a strong desire to make a meaningful impact in stroke care.
