At OneStaff Dunedin, we are proud to be the leading supplier of temporary staff to major civil roading and construction companies in the Dunedin area. Our clients are busy and rely on us to provide skilled Traffic Controllers who can effectively manage traffic and pedestrian movement across various locations in and around Dunedin and Otago.
About the Role
We are currently seeking individuals to join our Experienced Traffic Control roster. This role offers a unique opportunity to start a rewarding career in the civil sector. As a Traffic Controller, you will work within a team environment, guided by experienced staff to ensure the safety of both employees and the public as they navigate through work sites.
Your responsibilities will include assisting the Site Supervisor by placing signage and cones at designated work locations, communicating with fellow Traffic Controllers using hand-held radios to maintain smooth traffic flow, and interacting with the public in a friendly and clear manner.
Requirements
- A current traffic control qualification is preferred, but not essential
- A valid New Zealand driver’s license
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Physically capable of standing for extended periods in various weather conditions
