About the Role
As a Construction Technician, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks that support our projects across the country. Your flexibility regarding work locations will be important, as you may be required to assist in different regions. The key responsibilities include:
- General laboring and cleaning of construction sites as directed by managers, carpenters, licensed builders, or other professionals.
- Assisting with carpentry tasks, such as cutting and assembling parts and erecting frames.
- Helping with painting both interior and exterior surfaces, including walls, roofs, ceilings, and fences.
- Loading and unloading construction materials, tools, and equipment, as well as transporting these items around building sites.
- Aiding in the erection and dismantling of temporary structures, such as scaffolding.
- Assisting with concrete work, including mixing, pouring, and spreading materials like concrete, plaster, and mortar.
- Digging holes and shoveling excavated material into conveyors, wheelbarrows, and trucks for removal.
Pay Conditions
The pay rate for this role ranges from a minimum of $26 per hour to a maximum of $40 per hour.
Hours of Work
We guarantee a minimum of 30 hours of work each week.
Requirements
We are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:
- Some experience in the construction industry is preferred but not essential.
- A friendly demeanor, along with good time management and a strong work ethic, are essential.
- Effective time management skills.
- A commitment to learning and developing your skills within the industry.
- A sound knowledge of health and safety procedures.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic.
Location
This role may require you to work in various locations throughout New Zealand, including but not limited to Auckland, Northland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Hawkes Bay, Taranaki, Gisborne, Whanganui-Manawatu, Wellington, Marlborough, Nelson-Tasman, Canterbury, West Coast, Otago, and Southland.
This position is permanent and full-time.
