About the Company Bajwa Horticulture Limited specializes in Kiwifruit orchard management services in the Bay of Plenty region. We pride ourselves on our commitment to excellence within the kiwifruit industry. About the Role We are currently seeking a full-time permanent Tractor Operator to join our dedicated team. This position offers a minimum of 35 hours per week, with a pay rate ranging from $26 to $30 per hour. The ideal candidate will have exceptional skills and a strong work ethic, contributing to the smooth operation of our orchards. In this role, you will work alongside our team of orchard workers and seasonal casual staff to perform various tasks, including mulching, winter pruning, harvesting, summer pruning, and spraying. We are looking for individuals who are caring, people-oriented, organized, and skilled at multitasking. Requirements To be considered for this position, applicants should meet the following criteria: - Experience operating tractors and other machinery, particularly sprayers - Reliable transportation and a full, clean New Zealand driver's license - Knowledge or experience in the kiwifruit industry is an advantage - Ability to work both independently and as part of a team - Strong problem-solving skills and a positive attitude - Effective time management and communication skills - Capacity to remain calm and professional under pressure - A clear understanding of safe work practices, with training provided - A reasonable level of physical fitness - Flexibility to work extended hours, including weekends, during peak seasonal demand (March to June) - Legal entitlement to work in New Zealand, with at least two years of driving experience and knowledge of farm machinery Bajwa Horticulture maintains a drug and alcohol-free workplace. Successful candidates will be required to undertake pre-employment drug testing and may be subject to ongoing random drug tests.
