About the Role We are currently seeking an experienced Site Traffic Management Supervisor (STMS) to join our team in Waipawa, Central Hawkes Bay. This role presents a unique opportunity to work on a variety of projects, where we consistently deliver results that meet world-class standards. In your position as an STMS, you will be responsible for ensuring adherence to temporary traffic management plans. You will oversee the setup and breakdown of road closures and diversions, while also leading toolbox and closure briefings with the crew. Clear communication of job details and expectations to Traffic Management Operators (TMOs) will be essential. Additionally, you will play a key role in training and developing our Traffic Controllers and junior STMS personnel. Ensuring the safety of our crew, subcontractors, and the general public is a top priority. Requirements To be successful in this role, you should possess the following skills and attributes: - A valid STMS warrant (Level A/B or Level 1/2) - Physical fitness and the capability to perform manual tasks - Flexibility in your schedule, as shift work may be required - A strong commitment to safe work practices Benefits At Downer, we believe in empowering our employees to achieve excellence.
