About the Company
Health NZ Counties Manukau is a progressive organization at the forefront of innovative healthcare delivery within the New Zealand Public Health Sector. Our mission is to work collaboratively to achieve equity in health indicators for Māori, Pacific, and other communities facing health disparities. We focus on developing and implementing plans tailored to local needs in order to enhance the health and wellbeing of the Counties Manukau region. Our main facilities include Middlemore Hospital, Kidz First Hospital, and Manukau Health Park.
We are part of Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora, the national health service overseeing the daily operations of the health system across local, district, regional, and national levels. Our commitment is to provide excellent healthcare for all New Zealanders. We value diversity and inclusivity within our workforce, which helps us better understand and serve our community. We encourage applications from Māori, Pacific, disabled, and rainbow communities.
About the Role
We invite you to join our midwifery team, where we create a supportive environment that prioritizes the needs of mothers, babies, and families, while also fostering the passion and dedication of our midwives to deliver exceptional care.

With the highest birthing population in New Zealand, our region recorded 8,195 births in 2020, offering a wealth of experiences for midwives.
You will encounter the complexities of childbirth in our region, which provides the rewarding opportunity to make a significant impact during pregnancy, birth, and the post-natal period.
