We are seeking a dedicated and reliable individual to join our client's team in the vibrant construction industry in Dunedin, specifically in Mosgiel. Our client is a well-known company that values quality and craftsmanship, and we are excited to help them find the right candidate for this role.
About the Role
We are looking for a Truss and Frame Labourer to work in a construction-based factory environment. While previous experience in Truss and Frame is highly valued, it is not a requirement as full training will be provided. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is practically minded and eager to learn.
The role offers long-term ongoing work starting as soon as possible, with full-time hours from 6:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday. There is also a night shift option available from 3:00 pm to midnight.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Measuring and cutting timber to precise specifications
- Operating saws, nail guns, and other air-powered tools
- Assembling prefabricated wall frames and roof trusses
Requirements
To be successful in this role, candidates should meet the following criteria:
- Be reliable and physically fit, as the role involves repetitive manual work
- Have a strong awareness of health and safety practices
- Possess reliable transportation to the workplace
- Be able to pass a pre-employment drug test
- Provide two recent work references
