About the Role
We are looking for a Menu Processor to play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of safe, nutritious, and high-quality meals for students. This position involves leading the implementation and ongoing management of the Saffron Menu Management System, enhancing menu accuracy and efficiency, and supporting nutritional standards. This is a Permanent Part-Time role with an expectation of 20 hours per week.
Your Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Lead and maintain the Saffron Menu Management System at the site level, ensuring that menus, recipes, allergen declarations, and digital compliance are accurate.
- Utilize system analytics, such as PowerBI, to improve menu planning, nutritional accuracy, and compliance reporting.
- Oversee nutritional standards and allergen management, collaborating closely with the dietetic team to align with New Zealand dietary guidelines.
- Conduct routine safety walks and ensure accurate documentation for audits, while maintaining Safe Food Pro records.
- Provide staff training on food safety, allergen awareness, nutrition requirements, and effective use of the Saffron system.
About You
We are seeking a candidate with:
- Strong culinary expertise, particularly in recipe development and allergen awareness.
- Experience in medium to large kitchens, delivering safe and nutritious catering at scale.
- Proficiency in using catering software systems, including Saffron, PowerBI, Excel, and Word.
- Excellent documentation, communication, stakeholder management, and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work both independently and collaboratively.
