About the Company
Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is committed to delivering high-quality healthcare services to all New Zealanders. We are guided by the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and strive to create a health system that is inclusive and equitable for everyone. Our focus is on fostering a diverse workforce that can better understand and serve our community.
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Physiotherapist to join our Early Discharge and Rehabilitation Service (EDARS). This role offers a unique opportunity to provide a comprehensive, home-based rehabilitation service to individuals within the Waitemata community. You will be responsible for delivering tailored rehabilitation plans that cater to the specific needs and goals of our patients, utilizing both intensive early supported discharge and community-based rehabilitation methods.
This position can be offered on a part-time or full-time basis, ranging from 0.6 to 1.0 FTE (24-40 hours per week), and is based at the North Shore Community Allied Health offices in Takapuna or at Waitakere Hospital. Our team meets weekly on Tuesdays at 8:00 AM for interdisciplinary discussions; therefore, availability on this day is essential. While hours for part-time positions can be negotiated, you will be working as part of a well-established interdisciplinary team focused on providing best practice home-based rehabilitation for adults of various ages.
About the Team/Service/Location
In your role as a Physiotherapist, you will be part of an experienced team providing rehabilitation for adults recovering from acute neurological conditions, surgeries, strokes, recent amputations, and reconditioning following medical illnesses. You will receive professional and clinical leadership development, which will include support for your personal objectives, educational opportunities for professional development, training for staff supervision, and networking with clinical leaders across the organization.
This role also offers opportunities to engage in teaching and training for non-Allied Health staff, implement new patient care models, and contribute to service development.
