About the Role We are looking for dynamic and enthusiastic Core 1 and Core 2 rotational physiotherapists to join our dedicated physiotherapy team. This permanent full-time position requires a commitment of 80 hours per fortnight, Monday to Friday. In this role, you will have the opportunity to participate in a diverse range of clinical settings, enhancing your skills in physiotherapy assessment, treatment, rehabilitation, and discharge planning across our North Shore, Waitakere Hospital, and Wilson Centre sites. We offer a comprehensive development program that includes: - The chance to build core physiotherapy skills through a structured rotational program - Excellent support from clinical coaches and senior clinicians in various practice areas - Opportunities for both clinical and professional growth aligned with personal objectives - A supportive and enjoyable work environment with an experienced team of clinicians - In-house career development through regular training and educational opportunities - Networking with allied health clinical leaders and peers across the organization - Regular professional supervision from experienced clinicians - Credentialing for weekend work, which includes a requirement to work three weekend days within a three-month roster - Various work perks About the Team/Service/Location Our two-tier rotational scheme provides opportunities to work across three sites within Health New Zealand / Te Whatu Ora Waitemata. Core 1 rotational positions last for four months and provide experience in: - Acute medical settings - Respiratory care - Acute surgical care - Acute trauma and elective orthopaedics - Older adult assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation Core 2 rotational positions last for eight months and, in addition to the above, include experience in: - Emergency Department and Acute Assessment Units - Intensive Care Unit and High Dependency Unit - Acute stroke units - Outpatient services including MSK, respiratory, neuro, and vestibular care - Trauma orthopaedics - Neurological rehabilitation - Early Supported Discharge and Rehabilitation Service (community-based rehabilitation) - Paediatric rehabilitation at the Wilson Centre, New Zealand’s national paediatric rehabilitation provider About You To succeed as a Rotational Physiotherapist, you should possess: - Professional Registration and eligibility for an Annual Practicing Certificate with the Physiotherapy Board of New Zealand Working at Health New Zealand At Health New Zealand / Te Whatu Ora, we are dedicated to providing excellent healthcare services to the people of New Zealand.
