We are seeking an experienced pediatric Physiotherapist to join our Community Child Health Team at Waitakere Hospital in the role of Senior Physiotherapist. This position is focused on enhancing health outcomes for tamariki (children) and their whanau by providing clinical leadership and advanced clinical practice to ensure the best care within an inpatient and community-based healthcare model.
You will be part of a skilled and dedicated multi-disciplinary pediatric community team that is committed to innovative best practices in child-focused and family-centered care, grounded in the strengths and goals of the families and children we serve. We encourage applications from clinicians who share our passion for pediatric health.

About the Role
As a Senior Physiotherapist in the Community Child Health Team, you will work in a multi-disciplinary setting, providing in-reach acute respiratory physiotherapy to tamariki admitted to the Rangatira Paediatric Ward, as well as community-based care for children who require physiotherapy for disability-related health needs.
You will manage a community caseload and coordinate the on-call acute roster for Child Health, ensuring that appropriate physiotherapy coverage is provided to the Rangatira Ward throughout the week and on weekends from 8 am to 4:30 pm.
We are committed to your professional growth and development. Within this clinical leadership group, you will have the opportunity to participate in or lead service improvements and initiatives aimed at enhancing service delivery and health outcomes for tamariki.
Additionally, you will have the chance to invest in others by sharing your knowledge and skills within the team and across Child Health through daily support, teaching, and supervision, as well as mentoring student physiotherapists.
While this role is primarily based at Waitakere Hospital, you will be required to travel to other Waitemata child health sites located in North Shore and West Auckland.
