As we continue to grow, we are looking for talented individuals to join our team. About the Role We are currently seeking a skilled Bricklayer to enhance our team in Rotorua. In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks including studying plans and specifications to determine material requirements and installation procedures. You will be erecting and dismantling restricted height scaffolding, sealing foundations with damp-resistant materials, and laying bricks in various designs and shapes while ensuring proper alignment. Your duties will also include embedding blocks in mortar, cutting and shaping materials using both machines and hand tools, and performing repairs on bricks and cement blocks. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to design and cut monumental masonry and lettering, as well as construct walls using stone slabs and large masonry blocks. Requirements To be considered for this position, you should have at least three years of relevant experience or a New Zealand Qualifications Framework Level 4 qualification. You must have the ability to arrange your own transportation, as we will reimburse travel costs to construction sites. Proficiency with hand tools and power tools is essential, along with strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. We value both independent and team-oriented work styles. Candidates must be drug-free and possess a clean police certificate. Additionally, you must have New Zealand residency or a valid New Zealand open work visa. Benefits This is a full-time, permanent position offering a minimum of 30 hours per week, with a maximum of 40 hours available from Monday to Saturday. The hourly rate ranges from $25 to $30, depending on your qualifications and experience. We are looking to fill this position immediately upon job offer.
