About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced, trade-qualified Fitter/Welder to join our busy workshop. With a growing workload and new projects continually coming in, we need a reliable professional who can confidently complete workshop tasks. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in welding medium-strength components and proven fitting skills.
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all welding and fitting work is completed efficiently and to a high standard. Attention to detail is crucial, as you will need to work accurately from plans and assemble finished components. Taking ownership of your work and consistently delivering high-quality results will make you an invaluable part of our team.
We value a can-do attitude, and we are looking for someone who is willing to take initiative and help keep our operations running smoothly. While the work is hands-on and fast-paced, we foster a supportive team culture where hard work and a good sense of humor are appreciated.
Requirements
- NZ Level 4 Fitting or Welding trade qualification
- A minimum of 5 years of experience welding or fitting medium to heavy materials in New Zealand
- Experience operating a gantry crane is beneficial
- Reliable, motivated, and committed individuals
- Current welding tickets or the ability to obtain them
