As a result of our ongoing growth, we are excited to announce an opportunity for a Senior Procurement Specialist to join our dynamic Supply Chain team.
About the Role
In this newly created position, you will report to the Strategic Procurement Manager and take ownership of a designated category portfolio. Your primary responsibilities will involve leading procurement initiatives and focusing on cost-saving strategies specifically related to sourcing ingredients and materials needed for our co-manufactured products.
You will ensure compliance with our preferred supplier relationships, manage ingredient pricing and supplier performance, and guarantee the timely delivery of high-quality ingredients. Collaborating closely with various teams including Procurement, Co-manufacturing, New Product Development (NPD), Quality, and Supplier teams, you will play a vital role in driving significant cost savings and supporting our new product development efforts. Additionally, you will lead strategic projects aimed at enhancing savings across services and indirect materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead sourcing activities for ingredients and materials utilized in co-manufactured products.
- Manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and secure competitive pricing for ingredients.
- Drive cost optimization, process improvements, and innovation projects.
- Support new product development through ingredient sourcing and pricing negotiations.
- Collaborate with Procurement, Co-manufacturing, Quality, NPD, Finance, and broader Supply Chain teams.
Requirements
- A minimum of 7 years of procurement experience, preferably within the FMCG or co-manufacturing sector.
- Strong skills in negotiation, supplier management, and contract management.
- Financial acumen with a proven track record of delivering measurable cost savings.
- A collaborative and solutions-focused approach to cross-functional teamwork.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- A tertiary qualification in Supply Chain, Commerce, Science, or a related field is preferred.
