Due to our continued growth, we are excited to invite applications for the position of Senior Procurement Specialist to join our dynamic Supply Chain team.
About the Role
In this newly created role, you will report to the Strategic Procurement Manager and take ownership of a designated category portfolio. Your primary responsibilities will include leading procurement and cost-saving initiatives, with a strong emphasis on sourcing ingredients and materials necessary for our co-manufactured products.
You will ensure compliance with our preferred supplier relationships, manage ingredient pricing and supplier performance, and guarantee the timely delivery of high-quality ingredients. Working closely with the Procurement team, Co-manufacturing Manager, New Product Development (NPD), Quality, and Supplier teams, you will be instrumental in achieving world-class cost savings and supporting new product development. Additionally, you will lead strategic projects aimed at driving savings across services and indirect materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead sourcing activities for ingredients and materials used in co-manufactured products.
- Manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and secure competitive ingredient pricing.
- Drive cost optimization, process improvements, and innovation projects.
- Support new product development through ingredient sourcing and pricing negotiation.
- Collaborate with Procurement, Co-manufacturing, Quality, NPD, Finance, and broader Supply Chain teams.
Qualifications and Experience
- A minimum of 7 years of procurement experience, preferably within the FMCG or co-manufacturing sector.
- Strong negotiation, supplier management, and contract management skills.
- Proven financial acumen and a track record of delivering measurable cost savings.
- A collaborative, solutions-focused approach to cross-functional teamwork.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- A tertiary qualification in Supply Chain, Commerce, Science, or a related field is preferred.
