About the Role We are currently looking for Experienced Structural Steel Fabricators to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for various tasks related to the fabrication and installation of structural steel. We value individuals who are organized, trustworthy, and motivated by results. Flexibility in work locations is preferred, as you may be required to assist with projects across six regions. Key Responsibilities As an Experienced Structural Steel Fabricator, your responsibilities will include: - Interpreting and following engineering plans, blueprints, and technical drawings. - Assembling steel structures and securing them using bolts, rivets, or welding. - Installing structural steel components at construction sites. - Cutting, shaping, and welding steel materials to meet required specifications using both machine and hand tools. - Inspecting and maintaining equipment and tools to ensure safe and effective operation. - Ensuring all work complies with safety regulations and quality standards. - Collaborating with engineers, crane operators, riggers, and other tradespeople on site. - Performing repairs or modifications to existing steel structures as needed. - Working independently or as part of a small team. Requirements To be successful in this role, candidates should possess the following skills and experience: - A minimum of 2 years of work experience in steel fixing, welding, fabrication, or related occupations is preferred. - A friendly demeanor and excellent work ethic are essential. - Strong time management skills. - A commitment to learning and developing your skills within the industry. - A solid knowledge of health and safety procedures. - Reliability and a strong work ethic. - Ability to pass a criminal check and drug test. Benefits We offer competitive pay, with a minimum rate of $30.00 per hour and a maximum rate of $40.00 per hour, depending on experience. We guarantee a minimum of 30 hours of work per week. Location This role primarily requires you to work across several regions, including Auckland, Waikato, Northland, Nelson, Canterbury, and Otago.
