About the Role
We are currently seeking a Store Manager for our Platypus store in Ormiston. In this role, you will lead, motivate, and coach a passionate team of casual staff, with the support of your Assistant Store Manager. Your focus will be on driving sales, achieving key performance indicators (KPIs), and enhancing customer engagement while fostering team member development. You will collaborate closely with your Area Manager to identify growth opportunities for both the store and your team in a dynamic retail environment.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of your store, which includes achieving sales targets, managing KPIs, maintaining store presentation, overseeing visual merchandising, and controlling stock levels.
You will motivate your team to meet and exceed KPI and value-added targets across the store. Monitoring store sales will be essential, as you will need to acknowledge outstanding performances and identify areas for improvement.
Effective management of wage costs is critical, so adhering to weekly wage targets and company rostering standards will be necessary. Furthermore, you will coach and mentor your team to maintain high morale and encourage individual development by establishing training and succession plans.
Ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety (OH&S) regulations and maintaining a safe working environment will also be key responsibilities of this role.

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- At least one year of experience as a Retail Store Manager in a fast-paced environment.
- A motivated and driven attitude, characterized by a ‘Make it Happen’ mindset.
- A passion for leading and inspiring a team to achieve success.
- The ability to think strategically, identify missed opportunities, and demonstrate a proven track record in driving sales and KPIs.
- Strong operational skills, particularly in stock control and visual merchandising.
- Experience in managing rosters and controlling wage costs effectively.
