About the Role We are looking for a high-performing General Manager to lead our operations based at our head office in Wiri, Auckland. In this pivotal role, you will report directly to the General Manager of Commercial Sales and take the helm of a business with significant revenue turnover and a national sales and service presence. This position is more than just a leadership role; it is an opportunity to shape the future of our business, drive further sales growth, and cultivate a high-performing team while ensuring alignment with group strategy and franchise expectations. As General Manager, you will be expected to bring: - Senior management experience in sales management. - Strong leadership qualities, along with effective communication and interpersonal skills. - Extensive experience in Supplier Relationship Management, ideally at the manufacturer-distributor level. - A solid understanding of customer and market dynamics. - Good negotiation and customer service skills. - High levels of motivation, energy, and discipline, accompanied by strong presentation skills. - Experience in the heavy transport industry is essential. You will develop a deep understanding of our customer base and work to ensure that the UD Trucks brand maintains a strong market presence, maximizing the potential of our model lineup.
