    Description

About the Company At INTEC Energy Solutions, we pride ourselves on being more than just an EPC and O&M provider. We are pioneers in the renewable energy sector, having constructed and secured over 3.9 GW of projects globally. As leaders in turnkey solar and battery energy storage solutions, we are dedicated to delivering high-quality, sustainable energy infrastructure that creates a meaningful impact. About the Role We are currently seeking a commercially astute and contract-savvy Project Contracts Administrator to join our Christchurch-based team. In this role, you will support the successful delivery of large-scale EPC renewable energy projects across New Zealand. This position is central to our project execution team and is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys cross-disciplinary collaboration to drive commercial success. What You Will Do In this role, you will administer complex EPC project contracts from pre-construction through to close-out, ensuring that obligations and risks are proactively managed. You will draft, issue, and manage contract notices and formal communications in compliance with AS/NEC standards and EPC terms. You will lead the preparation and coordination of time and cost-based claims to protect INTEC’s rights and commercial interests. Collaborating with procurement and planning teams, you will develop sub-contracts, consultancy agreements, and contract schedules. Tracking commercial deliverables across project phases, you will maintain accurate registers, forecasts, and variation documentation. You will identify commercial risks and support the implementation of mitigation and optimization strategies. Additionally, you will provide expert contractual guidance to project managers, engineers, and site teams to ensure alignment and compliance, and support dispute resolution processes while assisting with insurance matters, financial reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives. What You Will Bring We are looking for candidates with 5 to 8 years of experience in contract administration or commercial roles, particularly on major EPC or infrastructure projects, ideally with Tier 1 contractors. A degree in Law, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is essential. A deep understanding of AS/NZS and NEC contracts, along with expertise in claims preparation, is required. You should possess strong written communication skills and commercial analysis capabilities. Proficiency in platforms such as Aconex, Procore, and scheduling tools like Primavera or MS Project is also necessary. The ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining strong attention to detail is crucial. We value collaborative team players who can work effectively across multidisciplinary teams. Professional membership (such as NZIQS, Engineering New Zealand, RICS) or postgraduate legal qualifications (LLB/LLM, admission to the High Court of New Zealand) will be highly regarded. Experience in the renewable energy, civil construction, or infrastructure sectors is advantageous. Benefits By joining us, you will step into a critical advisory role where you will help guide the commercial success of utility-scale solar and BESS projects. You will apply best practices in contract administration, claims management, and risk mitigation to support seamless project delivery. This unique opportunity allows you to contribute your expertise to high-impact renewable energy projects while working closely with multidisciplinary teams to uphold INTEC’s commercial integrity. Why Join Us? At INTEC Energy Solutions, you will have the chance to shape the future by participating in critical energy transition projects within a fast-growing EPC team. You will own your impact by influencing project outcomes through proactive and strategic contract management. You will collaborate with experienced professionals across engineering, construction, and commercial functions, contributing to global renewable energy goals while making a tangible impact in Australia and New Zealand. Working with us means helping to deliver sustainable energy projects that benefit both people and the planet. We invite you to join us at INTEC Energy Solutions, where your work matters, your growth is supported, and together we strive towards a better world. Please apply online; applications will be reviewed as they come in.
