About the Role
We are currently seeking a Client Manager based in Christchurch to manage and expand our portfolio of automotive dealers. In this role, you will build and nurture relationships and high-value business partnerships with clients. Your focus will be on providing education and tailored solutions that deliver value for both the client and Trade Me Motors. As a knowledgeable and passionate ambassador for our brand, customer care will be at the heart of everything you do.
You will primarily oversee a portfolio of clients based in Christchurch, with some travel required throughout the lower South Island.
Here is what you can expect from this role:
- Travel within your designated territory to develop and maintain effective relationships with clients.
- Cultivate expert market and industry knowledge to establish yourself as a trusted advisor.
- Understand your clients' commercial and business goals, positioning Trade Me as their preferred partner.
- Plan and present product solutions tailored to meet the specific needs of your clients, using qualitative data about their business performance.
- Identify, develop, and implement new business opportunities, leveraging our extensive data set to share relevant insights.
- Manage an in-person call cycle with a pragmatic approach.
- Utilize our CRM system effectively to track sales, opportunities, and client interactions.
- Continuously seek improvement and share insights with our wider teams to enhance the experience for both Trade Me and our customers.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of two years' experience in a similar Account Management position.
- A passion for digital advertising and/or experience in the automotive industry is valuable, though not essential.
- A driven and energetic attitude with a strong focus on achieving results. You should be capable of working independently and knowing when to close a sale.
- Strong relationship-building skills with a consultative approach.
- Excellent communication abilities, with the capacity to explain ideas clearly, listen actively, and confidently share your insights.
- An understanding of data and its application in client presentations, ensuring clarity and comprehension.
