About the Role
We are currently seeking experienced Carpenters who specialize in residential construction. While experience in commercial projects is advantageous, our primary focus is on candidates with a background in residential work. This is an excellent opportunity for those looking to advance their careers in carpentry.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Working on residential construction projects, including new builds, renovations, and additions.
- Performing a variety of carpentry tasks such as framing, finishing, cladding, and general carpentry.
- Reading and interpreting building plans and specifications.
- Maintaining high standards of workmanship and site safety.
- Collaborating effectively with other trades and contractors on site.
Requirements
We are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:
- Proven experience in residential carpentry, covering all aspects from framing to finishing.
- Ownership of basic tools, along with a full driver’s license and reliable transport.
- A solid understanding of New Zealand building codes and safety regulations.
- A trade qualification is preferred, particularly for those who are NZ qualified.
- A reliable, hardworking attitude with a readiness to start immediately.
