About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced Licensed Building Practitioner (LBP) Carpenter to lead and manage a team on a project in Christchurch. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that projects run smoothly, maintaining safety standards, and interpreting blueprints to deliver exceptional results. Strong leadership abilities and excellent communication skills are essential for success in this position.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will perform a variety of carpentry tasks, which may include framing, foundations, and the installation of windows, doors, and other fixtures. You will need to read and interpret blueprints and construction plans to ensure that your work meets specifications.
Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring that safety standards are consistently met and adhered to on-site. Effective communication and teamwork will be critical as you work with your team to ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
Requirements
To be considered for this position, you must hold a Building Practitioner Licence. You should possess a strong attention to detail and take pride in the quality of your work. A full tool kit is required to carry out your carpentry duties, and reliable transport along with a punctual work ethic is essential.
While Site Safe certification is advantageous, it is not a requirement for this role.
