About the Role
We are seeking four Onsite Assistants to join our team in Auckland. In this role, you will be involved in various tasks on construction sites, including formwork and both interior and exterior jobs. The position requires availability from Monday to Saturday, with working hours ranging between 7:30 AM and 6:30 PM. Flexibility to work on public holidays may also be required.
You can expect a competitive hourly rate of $24 to $28, with guaranteed minimum hours of 30 per week and the possibility of working up to 50 hours.
Key Responsibilities
As an Onsite Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
- Providing general assistance across various types of work, including carpentry tasks. This involves helping to build wooden or partially wooden items that are integral to buildings, such as windows and stairs, both internally and externally. You may also assist in constructing associated wooden items, including furniture.
- Performing general labor tasks such as digging holes and trenches, removing construction debris, and assisting with storage, lifting, fetching supplies, unloading, and checking deliveries.
- Identifying hazards and defects on-site, as well as recognizing when adjustments or repairs are necessary.
- Reporting any health and safety-related issues to your supervisor.
- Completing any other reasonable tasks as directed by your team leader.
Requirements
