About the Role
As we expand our team, we are looking for an enthusiastic welder to join us at our workshop in East Tamaki. In this role, you will be responsible for performing in-house preventative maintenance and repairs on various types of bins and associated equipment.
Your responsibilities will include setting up and operating hand tools such as gas cutters, drills, grinders, and clamps. You will also be tasked with requisitioning or repairing parts and managing associated consumables.
Requirements
We are seeking a candidate with experience in MIG welding and fabrication, along with familiarity in using a variety of engineering hand and power tools. While a qualification in Welding to AS/NZS 2980 is beneficial, it is not essential. What is essential is your experience and a strong commitment to health and safety.
Candidates should possess a valid New Zealand driver’s license and a valid NZ forklift license. Basic computer skills are desirable. You should be able to work effectively both as part of a team and independently, with excellent time management skills.
