About the Role We are seeking a Delivery Manager - Projects to join our Southern Contracting Division, with the role based in either Palmerston North or Masterton, depending on the right candidate. In this position, you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth of a profitable, sustainable, and competitive contracting unit. You will be responsible for achieving safety, operational, and performance targets while implementing significant improvements in quality, productivity, and safety. Collaboration is key, as you will work closely with internal teams, network owners, subcontractors, local authorities, and other key stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery. Your responsibilities will include: - Ensuring that all operational, regulatory, and customer requirements are met or exceeded. - Leading a team of Project Managers by providing supervision, support, and development. - Managing workloads, productivity, and project delivery to meet performance goals. - Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders. - Driving team productivity and maintaining a consistent work pipeline. - Identifying opportunities for process improvements that enhance quality and safety. - Ensuring compliance with all Health, Safety, Quality, and Environment (HSQE) requirements. - Maintaining accountability for Northpower's property, plant, and equipment. About You We are looking for a candidate with strong leadership skills, commercial acumen, and a passion for driving operational excellence. You will need to have: - A relevant tertiary qualification and/or significant industry experience. - Proven experience in managing teams and delivering projects effectively. - Strong time management, self-management, and prioritization skills. - Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. - The ability to foster a culture of continuous improvement and safety excellence.
