About the Role We are seeking candidates for a long-term civil construction project in Christchurch, set to commence in February. This significant site offers consistent work with stable crews and the opportunity for long-term employment for the right individuals. We are hiring for a variety of positions, including experienced operators, carpenters, formworkers, lead hands, and drainage operators. These roles are best suited for individuals with hands-on civil and construction experience who are capable of working effectively as part of a site crew on this extensive project. What You Will Be Doing - Supporting civil construction and drainage works across the site. - Assisting with formwork, structural tasks, and in-ground works. - Operating machinery where applicable and according to your qualifications. - Using hand and power tools safely and efficiently. - Following site plans, levels, and instructions from supervisors. - Working safely around machinery, trucks, and ground crews. - Upholding strong health and safety standards at all times. - Completing any other tasks as required on site. What We Require - Previous experience in a civil or construction site environment. - Ability to work effectively as part of a site crew. - Strong awareness of health and safety requirements. - Relevant tickets or licenses are advantageous, depending on the role. - Reliability, punctuality, and a committed work ethic. - Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test. - All applicants must have the legal right to work in New Zealand.
