About the Role We are currently seeking a Manu Tāiko - Associate Director, International Recruitment to join our Te Kahupapa - Wellington University International team on a permanent, full-time basis. This strategic position is vital for driving both immediate and sustained growth in student enrolment and acquisition. Key responsibilities of this role include: Leadership and Development: You will lead a high-performing and collaborative International Recruitment team, ensuring that team members receive the support and resources they need to achieve their recruitment goals. Strategy, Planning, and Decision Making: You will effectively deliver international student recruitment activities, establishing targets based on quality data and market intelligence, as well as developing robust plans to meet those targets. Relationship Development: Building productive and effective relationships is essential for the successful implementation of international education initiatives and student recruitment activities. You will work to achieve student enrolment growth targets. Systems and Monitoring: You will provide high-quality and accurate information and advice across all areas of responsibility to International Office staff. Optimizing staff performance to achieve student growth targets will also be a priority. Compliance: You will ensure that outcomes related to the Education (Pastoral Care of Tertiary and International Learners) Code of Practice 2021 are met. This role requires international travel. About You The ideal candidate will possess: - Extensive knowledge of the international education industry and experience working with diverse groups, including academic and professional staff. - Proven expertise in international student recruitment operations and a strong sales-oriented approach to implementing marketing and recruitment plans. - A track record of successfully setting and achieving enrolment targets. - Strong experience in leading and managing high-performing, multi-disciplinary teams. - Strategic thinking abilities, with the capability to develop and implement complex operational plans. - Experience in budget management. - A high level of emotional intelligence, enabling you to engage effectively at all levels with passion, clarity, and confidence. The initial salary range for this position is between $152,000 and $161,000 per annum, with opportunities for further growth over time.
