About the Role
We are currently seeking a Centre Cook to join our team on a full-time basis, working Monday to Friday. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing daily meals for our tamariki, adhering to menu guidelines, and maintaining high standards of food safety and kitchen hygiene. You will also support our center's food-related routines while being a warm and familiar presence for the children.
Requirements
To be successful in this position, you should be confident in cooking for groups and comfortable following set menus. You should possess strong organizational skills and be able to maintain a clean and efficient kitchen. A warm and friendly demeanor is essential for building rapport with both tamariki and whānau. Additionally, being fit and active will help you manage your time effectively. Excellent communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude are also important. Previous experience cooking in an early childhood education setting or a similar environment is advantageous.
