Class 2 Hydro Operator

About the Company We are currently working with a client who is looking for Class 2 and Class 4 drivers to join their team in Christchurch. This position focuses on hydro excavation and drain clearing, providing a unique opportunity for individuals eager to develop their skills in a dynamic environment. About the Role In this ongoing role, you will have the chance to enhance your expertise and potentially explore permanent opportunities in the future, provided you bring enthusiasm and a strong work ethic. Your daily responsibilities will include using a high-pressure water blaster to excavate around buried services, as well as performing drain clearing, sump clearing, and emptying water treatment plants, silos, and tanks. Given the nature of the work, candidates must be comfortable laboring in wet and dirty conditions and be prepared to work long hours. Requirements To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements: - Successfully pass a pre-employment drug test - Hold a minimum of a Class 2 WTR license; a Class 4 license is advantageous - Be willing to undergo a criminal conviction history check - Have proven civil driving experience, confirmed by two referees - Possess the ability to work in dirty and wet conditions Benefits We offer several benefits to our employees, including: - Opportunities for progression through various licenses - A work schedule of 40 to 50 hours per week - Competitive pay rates based on experience Please note that to be eligible for this role, candidates must currently reside in New Zealand and possess New Zealand citizenship or residency.
