About the Role
As a Health Care Assistant, your primary responsibility will be to support our residents with their daily living and social needs. You will play a vital role in encouraging residents to maintain their independence and make their own choices. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Delivering the highest standard of personalized care to every resident
- Supporting and encouraging residents to maintain their independence
- Assisting with daily living activities in alignment with Eden principles and the Domains of Wellbeing
- Taking instruction from and assisting the Registered Nurse
- Ensuring residents' needs are promptly and effectively addressed
About You
We are looking for someone who is passionate about the wellbeing of older adults. You should be enthusiastic yet patient, well-organized, and possess strong interpersonal skills. Our ideal candidate will embody our values of empathy, compassion, and respect. Additionally, you should have:
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Clear and confident communication skills, both verbal and written
- Basic computer skills, as we utilize electronic record-keeping
- A Level 2 Health and Wellbeing Certificate or higher
- Previous experience in aged care or a healthcare assistant/support worker role
