About the Role
We are seeking a qualified Speech Language Therapist (SLT) to join our Child Development Services (CDS) team on a permanent, part-time basis, working 0.5 Full-Time Equivalent (FTE). Our multidisciplinary, community-based services cater to children aged 0 to 16 years, focusing on promoting their developmental pathways to help them reach their maximum potential.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Providing therapy to enhance swallowing, feeding skills, as well as speech, language, and communication for children with developmental disabilities.
- Conducting specialized developmental assessments for children who may face social, communication, and intellectual challenges.
- Collaborating closely with whanau, members of the multidisciplinary team, and external agencies to deliver evidence-based care.

About You
We are looking for a qualified Speech Language Therapist with membership in the New Zealand Speech-language Therapists' Association and a current practicing certificate. Experience in Child Development is desirable but not essential, as we provide support from the SLT professional lead to assist you in your learning. You should be willing to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and demonstrate behaviors that align with the values of Health New Zealand Whanganui.
