About the Role
In this position, you will play a key role in managing various aspects of the trust accounts and supporting the broader accounts team. While a strong background in accounting is crucial, we also welcome candidates with diverse administrative experience who can manage a varied schedule and multiple responsibilities effectively.
Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for managing trust account deposits, releases, and reconciliations. Your duties will include processing advertising and trust account receipts, as well as liaising with vendors and solicitors to ensure smooth and timely settlements.
Daily reconciliations in Xero and Excel will be a significant part of your role, alongside maintaining and reconciling multiple spreadsheets including the Sales & Comm Master, individual agent accounts, company share records, and War Chest spreadsheets. Additionally, you will assist with end-of-month processes, audits, and financial reporting, while providing accurate and timely data entry across all platforms.
Your responsibilities will also include completing transactional paperwork for sold properties, offering back-up support for top sheet reconciliation and other department team members, and helping to streamline processes for maximum efficiency within the accounts team. You will perform monthly audits of any outstanding settlements and trust payments.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should possess a minimum of three years of experience in accounts or professional services. Advanced skills in Xero and Microsoft Excel are essential, along with strong communication abilities and a proactive, professional demeanor.
Exceptional attention to detail is critical, as accuracy is paramount in this position. You should also demonstrate excellent organizational and time management skills, as well as the capacity to work with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
