About the Role
We are excited to announce a part-time opportunity as a Kitchen Assistant at our Emirates Lounge located at Auckland Airport. This position offers flexibility while providing job security and stability within an essential service organization. You will play a vital role in delivering a memorable lounge experience for our guests as part of our team.
Your Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Providing warm, friendly, and welcoming service to all customers.
- Maintaining clean and tidy dining and kitchen areas, which includes cleaning tables, floors, and equipment.
- Assisting with the preparation and presentation of food, including portioning and plating.
- Washing dishes, pots, pans, crockery, and kitchen equipment.
- Communicating effectively with team members and adhering to personal presentation standards.
About You
Our ideal candidate will possess:
- Excellent communication skills and a strong ability to work as part of a team.
- A well-presented, friendly, and outgoing personality with a positive attitude.
- Some experience working in a commercial kitchen setting.
- A food safety certificate (Unit Standard 167).
- A passion for great food, customer service, and quality.
