About the Role We are currently looking for a self-motivated Accounting Manager to join our team in Hornby on a permanent, full-time basis. Reporting directly to the Group Financial Controller, the Accounting Manager will lead the month-end close process and ensure timely completion of reporting outputs in accordance with strict Group deadlines. This position requires effective communication and the ability to influence multiple stakeholders across various sites. In this role, you will conduct detailed analyses of results and take ownership of the monthly forecast cycle. Additionally, you will be responsible for tax compliance, establishing a robust control environment, and ensuring adherence to company policies. Requirements The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and experience: - A relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is essential. - A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior accounting role, preferably within a Big 4 firm, a large-medium CA firm, or a corporate accounting setting. - CA/CPA qualification (or equivalent) is essential. - A deep understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. - Strong financial accounting technical skills and a good understanding of NZIFRS reporting and tax compliance requirements. - Excellent analytical and reporting skills with a keen attention to detail. - Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
