About the Role
We are currently seeking a Traffic Controller (TC) to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing temporary traffic management and ensuring the safety of both people and vehicles. Your daily activities will include setting up, supervising, and removing traffic management equipment, as well as directing traffic using stop/go methods.
With a Class 1 license, you will have the opportunity to drive our double cabs and utes, while a Class 2 license will allow you to operate our Traffic Management Attenuators (TMA). Your skills will be put to good use in various roles, including shadow driving, back-up driving, and transporting fellow crew members between the yard and job sites.
Requirements
We are looking for candidates who are:
- Reliable and dependable
- Eager and willing to work on a casual contract basis
- Drug-free
- In possession of a Full Class 1 or Class 2 NZ license (Class 2 is a bonus)
- Equipped with their own transport
- Positive and possess a great sense of humour
Benefits
We offer a competitive pay range of $23.50 to $27 per hour, with the potential to earn up to $36 per hour as you develop your skills. You will receive brand new personal protective equipment (PPE) at no cost to you, and we provide a paid induction week based on the new Waka Kotahi (NZ transport agency) competency model. Our positions are located in Wiri and Henderson.
